This project explored how motion graphics could extend the festival's existing identity across digital touchpoints, including web experiences and promotional advertising. Maryland's Sheep and Wool Festival is an annual springtime event celebrating the rich tradition of sheep farming and wool production in the region. It hosts workshop events, food vendors, and educational demonstrations focused on the intersection of agriculture, craftsmanship, and community.

Concept

Fascinated with the agricultural side of my home state of Maryland, I wanted to capture the essence of cozy rural life and the warm-fuzzy feeling of handmade fibers. I took inspiration from natural textures, colors, and patterns found in textile crafts to guide the design. I observed the movements of sheep herding and incorporated those fluid motions into the animations as a throughline between the different aspects of the festival.
